It hurts nothing, and I've gotten used to it. Running the game outside of steam makes no difference. Done this on 2 different computers, old dino PC and my newish beast.ĭisabling/enabling this or that makes no difference. I've more or less gotten used to it, when I close the game I click rapidly and get the white screen and then it goes away by itself now. When I bought the game, even in vanilla anytime I exit the game, every time, the game locks up, I click a few times on the screen, I get the white screen, not responded, I hit close or whatever and everything is gravy. When I sailed the high seas and gave the game a try it never happened. So only way to get back to desiktop (and get game closed) is either close program that way, or CTRL-ALT-DEL to task manager and force close in there.Īnyone have any ideas/suggestion on how to fix this so it actually closes normally again? This, more or less, has been happening to me since day one. If I try and click it again, I get the white-ish screen, turning circle icon, 'so and so is not responding, want to wait for it or close program' message. Originally posted by Grey Buddhist:This started recently, have not installed any new mods since before it happened, and since it started happening:Įvery time I click quit to OS, the game freezes. If your game freezing every exiting, not just when you play for long time, ignore 4.ĥ: Your name don't fit on you, if you can't accept my first post without mentioning, I didn't answered your question. Restart every 2 hrs (not just the game, but also your PC). You know, conversations works like this: Somebody say something, others answer / say what comes in their mind about the topic.ģ: Modded games mid/late game tend to freeze while exiting (especially on low end pcs) BC the game eating your memory.Ĥ: Its a bit pain in the but (idk your deets) you can try this: Don't run the game for long time (2-3 hrs max). With this build it should have no problem running this game flawlessly, even with quite a large colony (to be clear, my colony isnt large at all, Im just ruling out hardware). On the right side of the dev toolbar on the top of the screen is the letter P (Pause the game when an error is logged). I strongly suggest you and f1rools22 compare mod listings. There are no errors that i can find and restarting the game doesnt seems to help. If I change my speed to try to unpause it seems to work for one frame but otherwise wont respond. To do this, make sure you build a research table somewhere in your colony and at least one of your colonists is assigned to do research. Recently my game seems to be permanently paused. The correct technology may first have to be researched by your colonists. If I want, I can begin to talk about germs in toilets. Im running Rimworld on Windows 10, Intel i5 9300H, 8G Ram, GTX 1650 Card, and the game never jumps over 1.5 G ram use, until it freezes, where it jumps to 3. Step 1: Research the Tech To begin with, your colony may not be able to build air conditioners. Thank - Your answer pretty much answered nothing regarding my question.ġ: Public thread. Thank - While that does work, I am trying to always have option to quit to OS, but thank you for the - I also disabled steam overlay. Originally posted by Grey - Disabled screenshot uploader.
